Average customer review:Product Description
She was born Norma Jeane but the world knew and loved her as Marilyn. Her life was one of unprecedented fame and private misery, her death a tragedy surrounded by mysteries. Drawing on first-hand interviews Anthony Summers offers both a classic biography and a shockingly revealing account of the screen goddess's relations with John and Robert Kennedy. 'The definitive story of the legend . . . more convincing at every page - told with all the coldness of truth and the authority of the historian, but at the end of it we still love Marilyn' Maeve Binchy, Irish Times

Customer Reviews
An excellent read
This was a real page turner, despite the fact that it is incredibly long. I could not put it down. It has a great subject, which is a bonus, but is well written, informative and so interesting. I can't say that I'm any nearer understanding the mystery surrounding her death, but I finished it with a real sense of Marilyn as a human being rather than an screen icon. At times it was extremely touching, and at others horrifying. Never mind what other people wanted to do to her, it was nothing compared with what the poor girl did to herself. That was the real tragedy. Unforgettable and compelling.
The perfect biograpy
Wow this is excellent! It may be long but every word was essential to make it the book it is. It gives an in depth account of her childhood all the way through to her death and includes very rare pictures along the way.
This book makes you look at her in a whole different light. After reading it you'll realise she wasn't just a sex symbol; but a real person with great emotial problems.
BUY this book, I promise you will not be dissapointed. It's probably the best out there.
Goddess
The title say's it all, Marilyn Monroe was a goddess. This book is great so good that i coulden't put it down. I gave it to my sister to read and now she is also hooked on MM. This book goes into great detail about Marilyn's career and personal life but still the author had respect for her and her privacy and went to great lengths to research his work. A brilliant book that i highly recommend any fan of Marilyn Monroe (or not even) should read this book.
