The book has been revised, updated and expanded to include a wider range of issues such as recent legislation and the NHS structure and current initiatives. It remains a comprehensive and valuable text, reflecting the dynamic and ever changing nature of health care. The text has an up-to-date feel about it, mentioning the recent cases of Allitt, Shipman and Ledward, (it) is clearly written and avoids legal jargon. Nursing Ethics 2002, 9, Book reviews

The third edition of this best-selling and highly respected text has been updated for changes in the law arising from new judgments and legislative provisions in the field over the last five years.
