From the Back Cover
This book provides a fresh approach to the study of AS level law. The book covers the specifications of all the boards offering AS law: the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA), the Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR) and the Welsh Joint Education Committee (WJEC). AS Law builds on the strengths of previous books by the same authors and offers a clear explanation of the law in plain English. It also adds new features to provide extra help and stimulation for the student, including:
- Know Your Terms
- Tasks providing possible activities that can be carried out easily to help students explore the subject further.
- Quick Quizzes at key stages in each chapter, to give students an opportunity to test their knowledge and understanding of the law.
- Reading on the web sections at the end of each chapter. These provide references to interesting material that has been referred to in the chapter and which is available free on the Internet.
- Exam questions and answer guidelines at the end of each chapter to assist students in preparing for their assessments.
- Chapter summaries at the end of each chapter, providing a quick and easy outline of the material covered.
Chapters are structured so that the material is in a systematic order for the purposes of both learning and revision, and clear subheadings make specific points easy to locate. There is also an Appendix at the end of the book that gives useful general advice on answering exam questions in law.
