A must have for exam success5
I bought this book to help me learn Macbeth for my GCSE English Literature exam. I found the book extremely helpful and could not have got through the exam without it. The book starts of by giving you tips on how to study a play which leads to the setting of the play. Through each act there are explanations and summeries of what has happened and it also highlights the main points. If like me you haven't a clue about old english you will find the glosseries in this book handy. Towards the end there are notes on characters, language style and there are also some hints about how to write an essay on this play. I passed my exam thanx to this book so I highly recommend it!

PEFECT FOR ANYONE!5
I was looking for a revision book for GCSE that accompanied the play 'MACBETH', I of course found hundreds! I decided to refer back to a previous purchase I made when I was looking for a revision book for the play 'Death of a Salesman'. I then searched for a book on 'Macbeth' by the same company/author and came across 2, this GCSE version and the advanced a-level version. I purchased both and I have never regretted it, I would highly recommend both for different reasons. The GCSE book provides you with everything you need for a basic understanding and the majority of the demands GCSE has. The a-level book provides you with that little extra which if used appropriately will push that little bit more to get a top grade. Between both books almost every issue is clearly explained but if it is not enough the margins contain very useful referenced to films, books and websites to extend your understanding.

Shakespeare explained4
My daughter is studying for a Higher qualification in English and Macbeth is an examination text. The York notes have provided a clear explanation of what is happening in the play and proved a valuable study aid. I never thought I would here her say she enjoyed Shakespeare! I would recommend these notes to other students.
