This book provides resource material for Year 4 and the material is organized into teaching units that resource between 1 to 5 literacy hours. Each teaching unit has either a reading or a writing focus. However the link between reading and writing is explicit and each unit is based on quality fiction, non-fiction or poetry, thus putting it into context. Speaking and listening is integrated throughout, as is also grammar, punctuation, speech and vocabulary.
