Customer Reviews

A great time-saving resource for any Year 5 Literacy teacher5
This is a fantastic resource that is a benefit for teachers who are stuck for ideas about how to make Literacy fun and exciting. Many of the lessons include handouts or activities that you can laminate and use over and over. I recently used one section on Science Fiction and was able to turn the few hours of ideas from the book and expand it into a unit that lasted about 3 weeks. The book gets the ideas that you already have in your head moving again. A must buy for the enthusiastic teacher.

A "Must-Have" For Teachers of Year 65
This series of books is a fantastic resource for teachers or schools. Each book contains ready-planned lessons on literacy topics that last from one to five hours. There are clearly defined objectives, well thought out teacher notes and opportunities for differentiated work. Photocopiable sheets make life less complicated, and mean that the usual problems of not enough textbooks to share no longer apply. Lesson plans are deliverable in REAL classrooms with REAL children, which makes a refreshing change for this sort of book! The lessons are usually relevant and easy to tie in to National Curriculum medium term plans, and are generally interesting for the children while not being too taxing on overworked teachers. Proof positive that staffrooms run on TCP - tea, coffee and photocopying!
