Product Description

Three tons of Saddam Hussein's gold in an unguarded warehouse in Dubai...For two of Nick Stone's closest ex-SAS comrades, it was to have been the perfect, victimless crime. But when they're double-crossed and the robbery goes devastatingly wrong, only Stone can identify his friends' killer and track him down...As one harrowing piece of the complex and sinister jigsaw slots into another, Stone's quest for vengeance becomes a journey to the heart of a chilling conspiracy, to which he and the beautiful Russian investigative journalist with whom he has become ensnared unwittingly hold the key. Ticking like a time-bomb, brimming with terror and threat, Andy McNab's latest Nick Stone adventure is a high-voltage story of corruption, cover-up and blistering suspense - the master thriller writer at his electrifying, unputdownable best.

Another Stone adventure for special forces readers5
If you have enjoyed the Stone novels then this another great adventure. Slightly less full on than some, more build up and new science involved, still a great thriller. Two of Stone's ex-SAS comrades get into serious trouble when they're double-crossed and their plan wrong, only Stone can identify his friends' killer and look for justice, SAS style a harrowing piece of writing, sinister and a chilling conspiracy. Andy McNab's latest Stone adventure is a roller coaster story of corruption.,it is a thriller at its electrifying, unputdownable best. Some reviewers mention other writers of similar genre, but none mention Conrad Jones, six so far in the series, all absolute shockers, try The 18th Brigade (Soft Target Series) or the Soft Target trilogy, Chris Ryan`s new adventure is also a good read if you enjoy McNab.

THE BEST EVER!5
Pacy, punchy, Nick Stone rides again - once more with a totally compulsive plot and characters, and seat-of-your-pants suspense from the first page to the last. Exit Wound is more than a thumping good read - it's a pulverizing assault on your senses and nerves!

All the McNab hallmarks are here on parade: dark humour, graphic description, and dialogue as sharp as razor-wire.

For the umpteenth time since Remote Control, I found myself propelled through a Nick Stone adventure in only a couple of sittings, always promising myself I would stop for a brew when the chapter I was reading ended, and finding myself breaking the promise again and again. You get so sucked into the whirlpool you feel you're being pushed and pulled round the streets of Dubai, Tehran and Moscow (hope that doesn't give too much away) until you're finally spat out on the last page.

Stupendous writing. McNab - you've done it again, mate!!

good but light in action3
Andy McNab's latest thriller features, as usual, his ex-SAS character Nick Stone.

In an introduction we are introduced to a young Stone, new to the SAS, and his involvement in a mission with a three colleagues. We then roll forward 20 years to today and Stone gets involved in a caper with his old friends which goes badly wrong. The search for truth and revenge takes Stone into Iran and then Russia where he tracks down the people responsible.

This is an interesting one and less action focussed then many of the other Stone novels. A burst of action at the start and then a long period where Stone acts almost as a spy, using the appropriate tradecraft. This is also a Stone less burdened by baggage then in some of his previous adventures, they tended towards Stone always being the brave put upon fall guy, here we have him more balanced and without the angst that could be a bit irritating. And McNab writes this stuff well, and there will be no surprises or disappointment for his many fans.

So good enough if a little light in pure action.
