About the Author
John Agnew is Professor of Geography at UCLA. His books include The United States in the World Economy and co–authorship of The Geography of the World Economy.

David N. Livingstone is Professor of Geography at the Queen′s University of Belfast. His books include The Geographical Tradition (Blackwell). He was elected a Fellow of the British Academy in 1995.

Alisdair Rogers teaches geography at the University of Oxford. He is the co–editor of The Student′s Companion to Geography (Blackwell).

Essential Text
This book is an essential text for human geographers. Some of the concepts are difficult to get your head around but the authors of this book are simply some of the best human geographers in the world and explain things well. You should buy this book before any other for a geography degree (unless it's purely physical of course).

This is a treasure
I enjoyed having this book as a text. It is so much better than those textbooks that simply plagiarize and paraphrase "original" writings. I thought English students would have appreciated this approach. It sounds like they are going the way of American students: looking for sound bites and glosses rather than anything that might force them to think outside the box!
