Synopsis
The author shows how to trade off priorites without dropping the ball, the best way to analyse a business and rival products, how to manage expectations, motivate a team, hire winners and communicate strategy, how to think beyond the scope of your responsibilities and take the right risks, all of which she learnt whilst working for Microsoft.
Customer Reviews
Insightful, fun, must read
Sort of an anti-Dilbert bible where commandments of good business practice are spelled out explicitly (eg. Think Three Moves Ahead, If You Bail Out from a Bad Boss, Presenting vs. Selling) and illustrated with colourful stories from within one of the world's most successful businesses.
A little bit disappointing. Some interesting facts. Hold on
let me get the book and I will tell you.....
ahh yes. Not very insightful. Few good ideas, alot of how to be a boss how to manage your boss stuff. Read it all before really. Anyway I haven't quite finished it yet so if I change my mind I'll come back to you...
