Great Read.....
This has been one of the best young adult Buffy books ever. I think the author really captures the overall theme of the show. All of the characters sounded so much like as if it were a new episode on tv. And the plot was really creative. Very different. Although where the kidnapped babies were concerned, it did remind me a little of the episode "Band Candy". Only this book took a new turn and put faeries as the culprits and also took the time to explain the different kinds of faeries. Child of the Hunt also had faeries in it, but I felt through this book (Unnatural Selection),I had a much better understanding. I just didn't get the fact that Xander and Cordy were still together and Buffy and Angel weren't. It's like the events in "Lovers Walk" never happened with Xander and Cordy. But I totally recommend this book to anyone who's a really huge fan of the show. :)It really shines compared to the rest of the YA's in the series.

Very poor
This is one of only 3 Buffy books I dislike, and I buy every one I can as it comes out. Really, it's horrible. The characterisation is very poor, I don't recognise Willow or Buffy from this. I would have to say that a majority of the fanfic that's out there is better than this book. Even taking account that it's aimed at a younger audience than many of the rest of the books it's still poor. Buy another book or hit some fanfic sites rather than buy this in my opinion.

Excellent
I've only read a few Buffy books (mainly the Angel Chronicles) But this one is really good and I recommend it to any Buffy fans. It is mainly based on Willow and it shows how cute Oz's charactor can be when he's worried about her. A great read I recommend it thoroughly.
