Excellent historical accuracy and inventive story.
Robert Asprin and Linda Evans obviously did their homework for this book, as it uses an interesting time-travel concept to bring out some great historical wrinting. The section of the stroy set in Ancient Rome is particularly well written and adds colour to what would have been a fairly ordinary adventure story. The only disappointment is the ending, with a whole new storyline being introduced in the final 3rd of the book, which although develops some characterisation for future novels, always feels a little rushed.

A good story though and well worth reading.
