Obvious Mistakes Make For A Difficult Read2
This book is sadly not much use to a beginner of SQL. There are numerous errors throughout, especially in the examples which don't tally with the relevant text making the examples very difficult. Unfortunately, there are no corrections at the SAMS website either.

If you are looking for your first SQL book, then you would be better off looking elsewhere.

Nice book for Starting SQL2
the book is great for anyone wishing to learn SQL like me; the book is maily set out for the Oracle SQL standard. But it covers MySQL, Microsoft and parts of dBase. The main problem with the book it that the number of times you come across errors and mistakes is just to many you could expect. i feel that if the 3rd edition of the book could be proof read so that you could understand it better , it would make a great read.

This book is set out so you can learn SQL (the basics) in 24 hours, but it feels like the book was written in 24 hours!

Full of mistakes which will confuse a Beginner2
This was my first computer language to learn, and this book made sure I did it the hard way. It is full of mistakes and examples that do not demonstrate what they claim to. I threw the book away and bought another one. Don't buy this book, you'll regret it...
