Hilarious
Anything with the word 'hilarious' in the title is usually bound to be disappointing, but not this book: it's great. Sassy, laugh out loud funny and incredibly sympathetic. If you think of every embarrassing time you've had to walk home or a bank clerk has been rude to you and multiply it by a thousand, you'll get Ang's life. Her voice rings incredibly true through the pages- you'll feel like you know her.

...angela nissel is a gifted storyteller. she is not afraid to laugh at herself, and her misfortune--and she does so with such wit and charm that one cannot help but laugh right along with her. perhaps the best thing about the book is its potential to reach a wide audience. it is filled with personal anecdotes about random events and non-events in the life of a penniless young, African-American, female student, but one does not have to be any of those things in order to fully appreciate it. well written, thoroughly entertaining, and highly recommended!
