A lot of useful information provided at a glance.
This book lives up to its title by giving the essential facts about orthopaedic conditions likely to be encountered by General Practioners and by Orthopaedic specialists in their clinics. Over 200 Orthopaedic topics are covered and they are arranged alphabetically , thus allowing quick access in a busy clinic. Orthopaedic surgeons may find many of the topics over simplistic and brief but this book does not pretend to be a reference work and brevity is necessary to avoid producing an unwieldy text. This book can be used to browse through as an enjoyable way reading Orthopaedics, can be read as a revision aid for Orthopaedic examinations or used to quickly refresh one's knowledge of an Orthopaedic subject during a clinic.
