Average customer review:Product Description
This text covers the whole gamut of pharmacology from basic science pharmacology and pathophysiology, through clinical pharmacology to therapeutics. This integrative approach is in line with the medical curricula. The first section covers the basic principles, followed by the bulk of the book organized by body systems. The book ends with sections on toxicity and prescribing practice. Each chapter ends with case histories, multiple choice questions and a tabular presentation of all common drugs within a particular class.

Better than Rang
This text describes clearly and succintly everything you need to know!! Does not have the gibberish that Rang has, and is less confusing to read, but with the same amount of detail. Has less physiology in than Rang, but explains enough for you to understand.
I used this only for pharmacology and did well, as i was too put off by the crowdedness of other texts.
A big thumbs up for me.
Sections are organised into major organ systems etc, and each page is well laid out. The type of drug (for example beta adrenoceptor blockers) is given as a header and then has examples of each type, so you are not too bogged down by lots of drug names.

Very useful drug tables at the end of each section, as well as test yourself questions at the end of all but the first few sections on basic principles.
