It really is a survival guide!
This is the best chest xray interpretation book around, and as a first year Radiology SpR, I always have it by my side when I'm reporting. It has a logical and concise layout, and I can always find what I'm looking for in it. As a read, it is very easy to follow and the pictures are excellent. It is small and easy to carry around but jam-packed with facts. I thoroughly recommend it!
An excellent Companion...and not just for radiologists.
Being a medic,I was recommended this book by one of my Radiology colleagues.Although apparently concise, the details and topics covered are fairly extensive with some excellent coloured boxes full of advice.Obviously,a CXR book is expected to have a lot of images which this book has,but the authors have also included complementary illustrations to explain the more difficult scenarios. There are also 100+ pages of clinical problems which add futher value to this book.Like I mentioned above, this book is helpful to any clinician who finds the CXR a daunting prospect to interpret.

absolutely yes
I am a senior registrar in radiology and have rarely seen a book such as this that combines crux of basic principles, essential approach to most clinical scenarios, ease to read, fantastic illustrations and one that comes in a practical size. The authors have faithfully kept up the same conversational style of writing as in their previous book 'A&E survival guide'
This book will be in my best book collection. I highly recommend it to all doctors who have anything to do with a CXR, and would be a must read for training radiologists.
