A great way to prepare your body for giving birth
This book provides a home programme of exercises for all stages of pregnancy, you don't need any previous yoga experience. It will keep you fit and relaxed, and help you build up the muscles you will need during the birth. It also suggests labour and birthing positions.
I found this book invaluable for my first pregnancy, it made me feel more in control to know that I was making good preparations for the big event. I definitely felt that the exercises helped me during the birth [of a large baby], minimised the damage to my body, and helped me recover quickly.
Good for beginners, suitable for more experienced.
Although I had some Yoga experience, I still found this book very helpful. I didn't always bother with the routines, just picking out a few excercises here and there when I felt in need of some relaxation, or only had a few minutes to spare. One of the biggest problems was using the book while practising - it's not very helpful having to stop to check you're doing it right. I found a few of the excercises nigh on impossible to understand, but overall it was well worth the money and it did help me relax and keep supple. The labour preparation routines are particularly helpful for anyone seeking an active birth
