A tragic, romantic ghost story.4
Laurence is a young boy who stays with his uncle at Noone (an old rectory) during the school holidays. It is the place he grows up in, although it is falling apart and in terrible disrepair. Unfortunately as much as they both adore the place his uncle cannot leave it to him, it must revert back to the church due to a time old agreement. After his uncles death an unforseeable accident occurs prevent Laurence to travel back to England in time for the auction of the property he dearly wants as his own. It is bought by a brash American and his english wife, with a son of her own.He wants to modernise it, she wants to restore it. Here steps in your Ghost with diasters and tragedy. You really get a feel for the place and all the characters with the tangled webs they weave. Who will succeed in owning and living at Noone?

extremely clever writing5
The author is remarkably skilled in what is a mystery, a love story, or perhaps a tale of suspence. No two people seem to arrive at the same conclusion. The syntax is superb. The author knows how to spin a good tale. You will feel regret when you finish the last page. All in all a very good read.
