Product Description

The Archers are one of Britain's favourite families, and The Archers Diary is filled with photographs and illustrations of the family, their friends and the countryside they farm with such affection. This year's diary brings to life some of Ambridge's favourite places, including Grey Gables, St. Stephen's Church where Ruth and David were married, Lakey Hill and many more. Discover when HRH Princess Margaret appeared in the series, the favourite spot for courting couples and who abseiled down the Church tower to raise money for charity! Evocative double-page photographs show the changing face of the countryside through the seasons, and photographs of the cast – past and present – are included too. With recipes, puzzles and plenty of Archer's facts, this the diary for every fan.

Customer Reviews

If you're an Archers fan - you'll love it!5
I bought the Archers diary 2008 and wasn't disappointed; so has the 2009 diary lived up to the high standards of last year's? It certainly has!
Purely as a diary, it has a week to a page and plenty of additional spaces to write other essential bits and pieces. But it's the lovely photography, the bits of Archers trivia, the character recipes and the overall presentation which make this diary an absolute delight. I have been an Archers fan since I was very young (my earliest memory is Shula and Mark's wedding!) and am now almost 30, and I love it. Quite simply, if you are a big fan, or you know someone who is, you'll love this diary. One word of warning - if you're someone who doesn't like seeing the photos of the cast as it contradicts your own mental image of their character, there may be a few pages you'll want to skip over! Overall, a brilliant piece of Archers merchandise and good value too.

ARCHERS DIARY 20094
A lovely book to own - whether or not it is used as a diary. Beautiful pictures of the countryside together with characters from the Archers series.
