Great performance
Writing about music in general and rock music in particular always is difficult ; this book succeeds in defining these difficulties and throws light on Bob Dylan's erratic carreer by focusing on the man's performances on stage. It adds interesting insight to the sometimes cryptic lyrics and speculates how songs are born. In the end it fails to convince because of the uncritical bias and idolatry. It is well written and illustrated. Itmakes you want to buy the unofficial releases for the book covers... Much help for would-be dylanologists and anybody who'd like to know what light it is that attracts so many fans and flies.
