Mark Paytress is a former Assistant Editor of Record Collector magazine who presently divides his time between working for Mojo and writing books. An acknowledged expert on Marc Bolan, he has been invited by the singer's estate to compile a multi-CD box set to coincide with anniversary the singer's death. Wonderful read
At last - a book that tells you something new about The Rolling Stones. Mark Paytress have put together interview bits from the members of the band (and a few important outsiders) from every imaginable source through 40 years, and the result is a wonderful read. Reading this book the week after having studied the band's own "According to the Rolling Stones" I can't help but think that this is a lot closer to the true history of the greatest rock'n'roll band in the world.
