Nu-Metal Hesitation5
I must admit I was quite hesitant to even open this book as I
really don't care for Nu-Metal but once I got into it I found it
to be a very enjoyable read. The author does an excellent job of
building the history of how this genre came to be. His depictions
of the bands, even one's I can't stand, are quite entertaining. I
even discovered several bands that I now listen to on a regular basis.
Even if you're not a fan of the genre you will still enjoy this book.
If you're a fan of metal at all, you need this in your collection.
Well done Mr. McIver!!!

this book5
first up i wouldnt really class most of this content of the book as new metal...most of the bands in there are well old and the true makers of metal and rock...you do have korn but would you class them as new metal..i would say new metal but not nu...yeah fare enough with the like of limp bizkit and linkin park...but tool and fear factory???...its a great read and has all the info that you wanna know about the bands you love and also gets you into other stuff as well...great all round book if you wanna see the bands that dented the earth with there ground breaking music...some great bands in here...check it out its a good read just wish there was more on bands like fear factory and life of agony and so on.

Excellent in every way!5
I've been looking for a nu-metal guide for ages so when this one was published I was really pleased - and it's well worth getting if you like any new rock band. It has metal (Systam Of A Down etc), punk (Amen), rock (Queens Of The Stoen Age) plus a history of nu-metal and how bands like Nirvana and the Beastie Boys led to its birth. Cool pictures too, I recommend this very highly.
