Excellent demonstration of play - shame about it being based on 5 card majors
This book is great. It shows 30 hands, shows the bidding, then explains what happened in the card play. It then asks "Can you do better?", and tells you how one could have done better on the next page. Last of all it tells you the moral of the story.
Great tuition on learning some basic strategies for making seemingly difficult or uncertain contracts.
My only gripe is that the book is based on 5 card major bidding as opposed to ACOL bidding. ACOL is the bidding system used by most bridge platers in the UK. But having said that, the card play is much the same whichever bidding system has been used.
So all things considered I give this book 4 stars.
