Average customer review:Product Description
Suitable for non-music readers and non-specialists this is a collection of 37 all-time favourite songs for young children with new words. It is intended as a means of encouraging children to listen to sounds, discriminate between them, use them in performance and improve their co-ordination through actions and movement. Designed for National Curriculum Key Stage 1 it provides an opportunity for children to respond imaginatively to the many opportunities for making up new verses. The book was prepared by a primary music specialist who was the author of Christmas Tinder Box"."

Customer Reviews
This is a book to support the non-musicians in school!
With simple songs, familiar tunes and clear explanations this book has been really beneficial in teaching music to nursery and reception classes. It is a must for all foundation stage practitioners and an invaluable guide for those who know little about music!
A good teaching aid for Primary teachers
This is a good book for new or current Primary teachers. It has a range of songs to help children with their counting and communication skills. You don't need to read music to understand the tunes. The book gives you an example, eg. 'sing to the tune of Old MacDonald had a farm.' There is music at the back of the book for those who want it.
The book also has some fine pictures of actions to go along with the songs.
For the teacher who needs to brush up on the words of nursery rhymes and songs this is invaluable.
