For the size of the book, impressive
This is not an exhaustive dictionary. You may want the Dorlands for that.

However, once you know your basic subject area (and if you're reading this, you're on the Internet, and Google "define: " will narrow down your search), you can look up the relevant section, e.g. heart valves, and most likely find what you are looking for.

If you're not medically trained but have recourse to medical reference works (e.g. if you are a translator), this dictionary provides with fabulous clarity an overview of the subject in question, provides you with a surprising amount of detail given the size of the dictionary, and puts terms you may have discovered and found the definitions of elsewhere into a more meaningful medical context. The phraseology is also incredibly useful and can be imitated for translation purposes.

Excellent diagrams, as well, which help you to visualise the subject matter of the various entries.
