Customer Reviews
Action songs/dancing to good music and songs.
I ordered this book not knowing what songs it contained. I'm very pleased I took the chance -it's excellent. The songs are simple and words clear for all to learn and follow; often accompanied by the piano. The children's favourites are 'I've got a body' and 'Walking in the jungle' - good 'jungle' sounds on that track. There are many more songs - and new ones such as 'Say hello...' etc. A good buy.
Fantastic resource
I bought my copy of this brilliant book for 30p in a library sale in about 1985 and have not stopped using it since. I hope I have made up for my bargain by the number of people I have recommended it to. It is the best resource I have ever found for music groups (and individual sessions in a special school) with everyone from babies of 6 months, whose spontaneous actions can be included in the simple fromeworks, through primary aged children including those with communication difficulties and other special needs, to adults in training workshops. I have used some of these songs regularly for over 20 years. They never seem to date and never get boring, because the possibilites for extension and development are endless. If you are hestitating, just buy it!
A great resource for teachers!
I was introduced to this book and cd whilst training as a teacher, and having seen how much fun the kids had I just knew I had to buy it! The voices don't sound tacky like they do on some childrens cd's, and the book comes with the sheet music and accompanying activities which are great for extending learning. Definitely a buy you'll be pleased with.
