About the Author
After studying mechanical engineering, Michael Naujok worked in a designer's office for three years. In 1975 he joined the staff of Yacht magazine in Hamburg, and since 1980 has been responsible for boat test and DIY construction projects. In 1971 he built his first seven metre cruiser followed in the next few years by five more boats of up to 10 metres in length. In this book Michael Naujok illustrates at first hand, with over 450 colour photographs, the practical aspects of building the interior fittings for a boat of any size.

Valuable source of advice5
I recently did up my galley and I was needing a good reference book. This was excellent , it had clear step by step photos, that were easy to follow. It had practical advice and covers some basic skills: cabin as a workshop, profiled battens and fittings, countersinking, screwing and plugging, doors frames and spring catches, interior linings and making curves and corners. It then covers the various all areas eg heads, galley, chart table but it also covers exterior areas, deck and coach roof, keel, windows and much much more. It doesn't cover use of tools which you can get from other books , it is a very comprehensive book.
