From beautiful babies to talented teenagers, children all over the world are employed as models or actors. Some of them earn more in one day than their parents earn in a week. This practical handbook is for anyone thinking of entering the world of child modelling and acting. In easy steps, it will tell you: how to find an agent; how to prepare for auditions; what to expect on a photographic shoot, film location, or television studio; how to make one job lead to another; how to cope with success and handle problems.

Customer Reviews
A real insight into the business.
Lots of info and tips - not just from mothers and models who have been through it, but also from directors and casting directors explaining what they are looking for at auditions. With two gorgeous kids who are dying to be on tv, this book was exactly what I needed to get them a head start.
Detailed and Informative
Very easy to read and follow.
Before you start, there's a guide to help you to assess if your child is suitable for the different types of work. The book then takes you step by step through the process of putting your child forward for modelling and acting jobs.
It covers photographic modelling as well as acting for television and film and is full of interviews with professionals giving their personal experiences. You get a really good picture of what it's like behind-the-scenes in the business.
It even has advice about how to help your child cope when their modelling or acting career comes to an end.
Lots of practical advice. Especially helpful check lists at the end of chapters which summarise everything, making it easy to pick up and find the important facts when you need them.
An excellent reference book and an interesting read.
Great if you want to get your child into tv/modelling work
I really recommend this book for anyone thinking about putting their children into modelling/acting work.
It explains the ins and outs of castings, and how last minute they can be, how you may need to be changing your plans at last minute and how commited you need to be. It also tells you what to expect when you get a job and whos who on the jobs etc.
For me a worthy buy and have recommended it to various people.
