Average customer review:Product Description
The 'Clements' Checklist, now in its 6th edition, is probably the most widely used checklist of world birds. Now listing almost 10,000 species of birds, this is the list of choice for members of the American Birding Association as well as many birders in Europe. Every species is listed using English and scientific names, together with a brief description of the species' range and space to enter your own sightings. All subspecies are included and listed separately, with ranges. For the first time, the English names follow the recently published list of English names as recommended by the International Ornithological Congress and its teams of regional experts.

Editorial Reviews
Review
'J.F. Clements....undertook establishing a practical list, usable by ornithologists. A remarkable piece of work, including it's weight (2.3 kg).'
--Alaude (2009)
Birding World, December 2007
'Has the most user-friendly layout of the current world checklists.'

Customer Reviews
no birdwatcher can afford to be without this book
The book is absolutely invaluable for keeping a bird watchers records ie your life list. But more than this the list of sub species helps when visiting other places where you find many differences in the birds you are watching ie the canaries which holds numerous sub species of familiar birds with some endemics.I wonder howI managed to live without this knowledge
Clements Birds of the World
A Very good book but expensive considering that it is available in a spreadsheet format as a free download.
