Customer Reviews

This is a book to use over &over again-don't just read it.5
This is a lovely book from a wonderful artist. It starts with basic information on materials, teaches you to use a brush properly and goes on to show you how to paint individual fruits, flowers etc.and ends with step by step demos. The book is beautifully illustrated, well written and a must for those who would love to paint in a loose, impressionistic and colourful way. I highly reccomendit.

No More Making Mud!5
This is the first of Charles Reids books I read............ and overnight it transformed me from a tight, impatient, frustrated mud-making watercourist of many years standing into someone who has, to date managed 4 clear, colourful, vibrant watercolours without a single flower in sight !

The way the artist/author tackles painting and writing about it is rather different from that of any artist/author I've met before - however accomplished, talented and admirable their work may be............its as much a question of WHY as HOW to.......so its a question of transferable skills......... if you long to paint bright and loose......... waste no more time........the video is excellent too......
