Customer Reviews

How to paint 50 beautiful flowers4
I was really looking forward to browswing through this book, having read the description and the promise of step-by-step guides. I was, however, slightly disappointed that the guides were written text, rather than step-by-step paintings. The text and diagrams also geared more towards detailed pencil drawings of the flowers and whilst there are some detailed paintings, these are rather on the small side, whereas the full page paintings are very loose in style with hardly any detailed drawing needed and offer much less detail ... which I found a bit frustrating as an advancing beginner. The book also includes some flowers I've never heard of "Clivias" whilst omitting common garden flowers "Hollyhocks" which I had hoped to see.

What's the Point !1
What is the point in asking customers to submit reviews if you only put up those that praise the product. I submitted a review for Jill Bays The Flower Painters Essential Handbook weeks ago and I am still waiting to see it. This product was recommended to me by Amazon and I bought two copies on the strength of it but I certainly won't be taking your recommendations in future as this book didn't live up to expectations at all. Could you please tell me why my review wasn't featured. It wasn't offensive in any way but it was honest and informative for potential buyers - which is what I look for in a review.
