Superb tutorial book5
I bought this book to help me get back into watercolour painting after a 20 year break and it has very much inspired me to get painting again. The book is arranged so you can follow the techniques necessary to reproduce the stunning paintings that have an almost photographic quality to them. I found the tips on how to use masking methods and getting contrast and light into the paintings particularly valuable. I have also often had problems getting detail into the foreground of my paintings, this book gives you plenty of ideas to try. Another nice touch is the suggested colours to use which is often a big hurdle with watercolours as the way colours mix is not always as logical as you may hope. I can thoroughly recommend this book if you are into vibrant watercolours with a photo-realistic feel to them.

The Landscape Painters Handbook.5
My wife being an amatuer artist, she seeks books that are informative and easy to follow.
This one was recommended to her and so she decided to order it - making a good saving using Amazon of course. She was delighted and found it more than useful. Yes, she would recommend it to any aspiring artist.

Put together by an excellent artist, this takes you through various landscapes and shows how they are reproduced, I would recommend this title to anyone starting watercolour, its one to keep by for reference.
