Fascinating insight into the lives of the Greeks
This book has so much information that it is bound to quench the thirst of any one interested in the Greeks; but don't be put off, the information is presented in such a way that it is easy to digest.
I have just taken my GCSE Greek and the backround topics were taken from this book; so it's not just me who thinks that it's worth a read.
However, this book is perfect if you are committed to ancient history; but if not, there are more general books that offer a gentler introduction to the study of ancient civilisations.
