Like other Duckworth Greek Drama volumes, Hesk gives a close reading of the text that draws into it the historical and philological and literary critical contexts in a highly readable manner. His transcends even the more brilliant, albeit more highly focussed and thus limited arguments. An invaluable work for scholars, teachers and translators. Robert Bagg
