Product Description

This text explains the link between the elements, the body's organs and our feelings. Using the elements and philosophy behind Chinese medicine, it shows you how to: transform anger; conquer fear; release sadness; break the worry habit; and enhance self awareness. Each element - fire, water, wood, earth and metal - has a different personality type associated with it. The book takes you through case studies and questionnaires to reveal your element type, and then offers exercises, both mental and physical, which will help you identify and deal with the emotions which stop you being healthy.

Get to know yourself (and your friends) better!4
Everything in this book is great ... I only wish it was a little more 'compacted' as it seems to repeat itself a little from time to time.

The different personality types (as seen by Chinese medicine) are described with suitable examples so that the concepts are adequately illustrated - and, once you know 'what you are' there are exercises to follow to help you to 'heal yourself'. If you're not sure which element best matches, there's even a questionnaire!

The book is easy to read and easy to understand - and, as such, I'd recommend it - but I have to say that perhaps the authors tried too much to meet the needs of both those who wish to read cover-to-cover and those who wish to dabble - and in doing so have weakened the book's structure. I also kind of wish it 'went a bit further'/was a bit 'deeper' - but I guess that to get that you'll have to buy and read Angela's other book, 'Five secrets of health and happiness' ...

Happy reading!

Learning by doing - the easy way5
This book was a "set" coursebook and has provided a real eye-opener to the five element types, which seem highly accurate once you start working with the detailed material offered in this book.
