Amazon.co.uk Review
The stylish The SEED Handbook is a beautifully illustrated, full-colour workbook produced by PR guru Lynne Franks. Based on her new international enterprise, SEED is an acronym for Sustainable Enterprise and Empowerment Dynamics. Quite simply, the book aims to encourage women the world over to start their own businesses taking into account spiritual values. It consists of a 10-week programme that teaches individuals to tap into their entrepreneurial spirit and start their own business "the feminine way". Starting your own enterprise is a daunting task and Franks' SEED programme offers you all the advice you need while cutting through unnecessary business jargon. Her goal is to teach the reader how to create marketable, viable and potentially sustainable businesses in the marketplace.

The title, plus the distinctive, funky daisy logo on the front cover introduce the reader to an organic gardening metaphor which Franks uses repeatedly throughout the book. She explains that "preparing to start a business is like planting a garden...you have to nurture seeds or ideas whilst they germinate and we need to know what to do to allow them to bloom into a healthy plant or enterprise".

This unique book is a must for any women who think they are too old, too young, too non-entrepreneurial or too uneducated to join the entrepreneurial society. Franks' infectious energy leaps off every page, encouraging the reader to believe that they too can create a business they truly believe in. Packed with inspiring case studies as well as useful, up-to-date information on everything from learning how to surf the net to creating positive energy with feng shui, from dealing with your bank manager to designing your company logo, The SEED Handbook is an inspiring, straightforward read. --Meg Slyfield

Brilliance...from a real authority.5
This book is absolutely fantastic, some may be perturbed by Franks' spiritual jargon. I found it a nice personal touch, speaking from the heart. This book with its colourful illustrations and easy to read format should be a bible for all budding entrepreneurs male or female. Look beyond your own personal gripes with the pictures or occasional 'new age' speak and recognise that Franks is a real authority and has achieved what anybody reading this book hopes of and more! READ IT, IF TAKEN IN THE RIGHT CONTEXT, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Inspiring reading for any budding entrepreneur5
Having long debated going it alone with a business idea & this fantasic book has really inspired me with confidence to at least 'give it a go'! The exercises are both creative and immensly practicle - most usefully being forced to look honestly at ones ideas, skills & motivations. Yes, some of the spiritual ideas are a little over the top, and the artwork does sometimes seem like excessive padding - mainly as one misses the opportunities for more of Lynne Frank's inspiring wisdom - but I think such exaggeration can encourage people to push their own boundries futher... Brilliantly inspiring, and a wonderful introduction before moving on to weightier advice and concepts.

The SEED handbook is motivating and thought provoking4
I am not a fan of 'self help' books, for that is what The SEED handbook is. However, this one is different. After the early chapters on 'clearing your clutter', I was up early the next morning cleaning out drawers, cupboards and filing piles of paperwork I had allowed to build up in my office. The candle lighting, prayer before work scenario will not sit easily with everyone, but the important thing is to take from this book what you need - much like a flower does from the soil in the garden. After I had finished the book, I started reading it again. A couple of days later I pitched for some work (as I work from home as a media consultant) and I felt organised, confident and positive. I won the work and feel I can only keep building my business as I continue to dip into the SEED handbook when I need to. Read it if you get the chance and see for yourself!
