Customer Reviews

An uphill struggle!1
This book, in places (most of them), manages to totally confound. There seems to be little logic to the order of text and items really are discussed with no introduction as to what they are (as mentioned in previous reviews) . I have found very little use for this book and have needed to look elsewhere. I recommend that you do likewise.

A reasonable text2
It is a shame that the text in this book is so poor as the colour illustrations are very good. The authers seem to hope that the avaerage reader has a strong grasp of basic immunology as this is covered poorly if at all. In fact in some sections I found myself reading the book with my biological dictionary as unfamiliar terms were used freely with no introduction. I would strongly reccomend against buying this text for someone who is looking to learn the basics of immunology and probably would not consider it as an advanced text either.

The only reason that I gave the book 3 and not 2 stars is because of the full illustration accompanying the chapters. Other than that it is quite difficult to follow. Better write down the acronyms as you go along or else you will be lost. Very limited index.
