Does exactly what it says...
My organisation decided to change from its current database to SQL Server 2000, with no in house experience and I got the job of DBA. My previous experience was on Oracle DBA, but not that in debth.

This book was of great help to me as it shows exactly what you need to do to get your SQL Server Database started.

If you want a good techie book I would advise you to look elsewhere, if you are after a learning book, then you will not go far wrong in getting this one.

It's a real Step by Step
I'm a web developer. I spent a time looking for a good book to starting SQL SERVER 2000. This book helped me to learn SQL SERVER 2000 and understood Transact-SQL as well. I recommend this book to SQL server beginners and SQL server 7 users. By the way, I like to work Step by Step.
