Well its a Language Reference What do you expect
When ever you get a Language Reference from microsoft press you get a complete alphabetical listing of all the Attributes, Constants, Enumerations, Data Types, properties, methods, Etc
and this is no exeption. not for learning great for a quick look up when your coding and need to know what an obcure function does
A reference-quality Reference Manual
I wholly agree with Mark Broadhurst's review: "its a Language Reference What do you expect"
It's an excellent reference manual, covering the smallest details of the language syntax in a manner that makes clear sense to the professional, familiar with the general language syntax, but needing exact detailed specifications at their fingertips. Great for the professional developer.
As a teacher, I use this in conjunction with a number of "lighter" texts, including the Microsoft Step-by-step and Quickstart guides, which I encourage my students to use. Occasionally I will suggest that a student checks the language reference to answer a question of syntax. More often, I find it invaluable to help find the precise syntax of a command quickly when debugging.
Programming or teaching, this is a "must have" - and a bargain at the price.
