From the Inside Flap
Ronnie Sidney is a perfect child. The illegitimate by-product of a wartime romance, he gives his mother unconditional love when all she has known is rejection and contempt. In her eyes he is faultless: a ray of sunshine in the grey of her existence. But as the cracks grow in his faVade of youthful charm, a very different character starts to be glimpsed.

For Susan Ramsey, life is easy. Cherished by her parents, she knows nothing of hardship or misery. Until a sudden tragedy thrusts her into a dark and deeply disturbing world.

When Susan and Ronnie meet, the attraction is instant. Each recognises in the other a long-awaited soulmate. At last Ronnie feels able to remove his mask of perfection – with consequences more dreadful than either could possibly have foreseen ...

With its compelling exploration of psychological power games, complex relationships and emotional violence, Apple of My Eye is the mesmerising third novel from the bestselling author of The Wishing Game and The Puppet Show.

I like this book a lot, and was completely drawn in to the characters, especially those of Ronnie and his mother. An intriguing story of psychological mind games, obsessive love and secrets that should never be told!

My favorite book!!!5
Patrick Redmond writes with emotions. This book will touch your heart. Ich read all books of him in English and German Language but this is my favorite book. I read it to the end and read it once again because it was so good.
It is ghastly as the count of Monte Christo and so sad as Les Miserables.
I hope that Patrick Redmond will write more books.
