Product Description

The gripping true story of one woman's amazing survival at sea against all the odds. Tami Oldham and her finace, Richard Sharp set sail from Tahiti under brilliant blue skies and their future together was just as bright. Young and in love, they were both expert sailors who had already seen much of the world and planned to see more. But twenty days into their journey they sailed directly into a monumental hurricane...Strapped in the cabin, Tami was knocked unconscious and awoke twenty-seven hours later to find the boat in ruins, with the masts missing, the engine and radio broken and Richard gone. Tami was weeks away from land. RED SKY IN MOURNING is a compelling and devastating, but ultimately inspiring, account of how much can go wrong on the ocean and how, miraculously, one person conquered her own fears and survived.

Customer Reviews

A true love story4
I bought this book as an Xmas gift for friend and before wrapping it decided to take a peek... I didn't put it down until I'd finished. Tami's moving story combines all the ingredients necessary for a blockbuster movie, adventure, romance, tragedy and survival. If you shed a tear over Titanic and were in awe of The Perfect Storm, you'll love this book.

Love, Loss, Challenge, Change and Growth5
There are many joys in this world of ours, but along with those joys many of us are faced with deep tragedies and sorrows. Scores of self help books have been written on these subjects. This true life account is a beautiful story and it is wonderfully organized. It shows a realistic view of one persons journey in life. If you have lost a love one, you will identify with Tami and you will appreciate her story. In doing so, you may even better understand yourself and the path that you are on.
