Amazon.co.uk Review
"What's the use of being alive after the end of the world?"
Frozen for 50 years as part of the Hibernation Programme, Cindy wakes up to find herself stuck in a late 21st-century world that resembles the Middle Ages--and she is not impressed. Nor is she impressed with her companions--simpering Fiona, "your actual blonde fairy princess"; upright moralistic Chris "who wouldn't enjoy himself wherever he was" and stolid Doug with "something of a the sly peasant about him".
A powerful, gritty novel which offers a disturbing and prophetic vision of the future, After the End of the World delves deep into a world devastated by disease, where Pagan earthers are in charge and scientists are outcasts. The book gives a view of a fragmented society that is perhaps not so impossible to imagine --Pauline Sutton
