Customer Reviews

Absorbing, beautifully written5
I am a librarian who usually reads older "literary fiction". I read this book on the recommendation of a friend and discovered in one swoop one of the finest authors I have ever read! Such wonderful writing and so entertaining too. I am hooked. I will read the rest of his back catalogue immediately! Certainly, this book; with its rich characterisations and deft plotting has to be a whole lot more literary than what supposedly is. Read it, buy it, love it! Thank you Mr Koontz.

THE Koontz book, top quality5
This is, as stated many times above, definitely the best Dean Koontz there is - and I've read them all!

The story takes you from the past to the future; it twists, turns, makes you shiver and touches you. Sounds like a lot of blabla, but I do not want to give anything away. Let's just say that the theme is : whoever tries to change the course of history will find that the world tries to go back to the fate that was decided for you in the first place. But imagine that you could go back, and change important world events....what if? Also, the love described in the book between Danny and Laura is amazing. Not in the sexual sense, though; it describes two true soulmates.

Great book. Do not hesitate: buy this!

The best Koontz book5
This was the second Koontz book that I ever read and definitely the best. Here he weaves a tale which grips right from the off and never lets go! He creates such believable and lovable characters( and also some detestable people too!) that you can't help but turn the page to see just where he takes them. This book's heroine, Laura Shane, seems so real that you want to help her whenever she is threatened by danger or death. He creats a wonderful relationship for her and then almost cold-bloodedly tears it away from under her feet and the readers'. A master at work and he is yet to surpass this book, which I feel is the best, having read it many times now. He has come close with others but not yet beaten it. I look forward to the next Koontz as soon as I've finished one.
