Jessica's Girl
I would really have 3 1/2 stars but it wouln't let me - haha Ne way, I think this book was a great book. It was full of surprises and the twist was quite grose and werid but amazing! I really liked how it all turned out in the end. It follows the fortunes of an East End girl who, on the death of her mother, goes to Blackburn to live with her uncle's family and has to cope with his cruelty to her. ‘Jessica’s Girl’ by Josephine Cox made me upset and also lucky to have grown up knowing both my parents. This novel was set in the early 1900’s where women were of lower class and less opportunities. Being female myself I am pleased that times have changed and that women (altho i'm not a sexist) do count for something more than just to have children all there lives!!!!!!!Have fun reading this awes book
