Customer Reviews
A frightingly magnificent book.
'Night Show' by Richard Laymon is a exellent example of a work of horror. It is frigtingly magnificent and is the sort of book that you just can't put down.
Not the greatest
I read this book after having read some of Laymon's other works but I didn't really get it. It wasn't particularly scary, there wasn't the suspence of horror of most of his other books. I found it too obvious and a bot pointless. Part of the problem is the lack of detail. It was less intense then a lot of his work and I found it a bit disappointing. Despite this it is still head and shoulders above most other books from other authors in the genre and those who haven't read Laymon before might find it a lighter introduction than some of his other stuff.
Dont bother
recently i have started to read alot of laymons books and so far only two have been good, not brilliant just good, well 'flesh' was close to brilliant.
this however is certainly not, the characters are weak, its not very scary at all and is basically about a group of teenagers having sex in the shower all the time. the story is poor and confusing. i feel really disapointed about this book as i did have high hopes for it, aftera friend suggested it to me,oh boy is he going to get it.
if yo do want to read laymon go with 'savage' or flesh much better options then this pile of trash
