Product Description

When eight people go on a cruise in the Bahamas, they plan to swim, sunbathe and relax. Getting shipwrecked is definitely not in the script. But after the yacht blows up they're stranded on a deserted island, and there's a maniac on the loose.

Island5
This was my 2nd of Richard Laymon's books and wow!!

This was brilliant so fast paced never a dull moment on this island! There were quite a few scenes that shocked and the descriptions of all the gore quite gut-wrenching!

I can see some people may not like this I don't know if all his books are written in the same vein as I haven't read many of his books, he seems to love referring to womens body bits and lack of clothing but, this didn't bother me one iota but, it may do some.

That said I really would not let that put you off this is a brilliant horror story, I would like to have seen more and maybe gotten to know the characters a little better but, trhen the book would maybe have been twice as long.

This book has certainly got me hooked on Laymon and will definitely be reading more.

Great stuff!

Things do go bump in the night! Even on a beach.5
Richard Laymon was one of a few unique discoveries on a year of world travels. I didn't do much sightseeing from the moment I picked up this book!

His story telling ability is excellent with charachters and shockers to fulfil any readers desires. Note this is not a romance novel and it is not long before the sands of this lovely beach are soaked blood red!

At on point i remember literaly jumping with shock at a point in this book which all will recognise when they read it....beeing prepared for it doesn't help though and I am not a person to spook easily.

Go ahead.....read it....you will enjoy!

Definitly Laymon's best book!5
Scary, griping, horrific and totally stomach churning! A typical Laymon novel, but definatly the best! If you like Laymon, you will LOVE this! I've read it loads and it still manages to terrify me! A must read!
