Customer Reviews

body rides1
I have read several books by Richard Laymon. I have found most to be exciting, the kind of books you just can't put down. However, in the case of Body Rides, I found it lacked that certain something. The idea of the bracelet was good, but I feel he could have made more of this novel. The book was overly far fetched and long drawn out at places. At times it seemed to go off on a tangent. I wouldn't recommend this book to someone who hadn't read any Richard Laymon before. I would recommend reading either, In The Dark, Island, or Midnight's Lair, first.

Great Idea - A bit long winded though...2
Like the other disappointed readers of this novel, I was intrigued by the idea of riding in another persons body and experiencing their thoughts, emotions & pain. However, Laymon did not really expand on this idea and the novel ended up being a not too thrilling chase down the bad guy story (with a magic bracelet thrown in). This is the 1st Laymon book I've read but I won't let this put me off reading the rest of his books as I've heard he has written some excellent horror.

Outstanding... Laymon at his finest !5
I cannot even tell you how good this book was... it was fantastic, it had me gripped and I just didn't want it to end. Laymon's books are always a good read but this really was outstanding... Well done Richard !
