A Funny Guide for Everyman - With serious Tips
This is a hilarious, clever book that is perfect for poking gentle fun at the man in your life, whether dad, husband, or brother. The book is done in a 50's style that makes it even more fun to peruse.

It shouldn't be the least bit surprising that Sam Martin, author of How to Mow the Lawn: The Lost Art of Being a Man, is a Texan. Because even if Texas has a tendency to churn out really crummy presidents, its genteel ethos is, for better or for worse, one of the last remaining bastions of homestyle decency. Lawn's step-by-step guidelines offer insight, often very funny insight on how to do such manly things as shaving and get into a girl's bedroom (you don't necessarily have to make it all the way to the bedroom). Don't expect to read this book and know how to care for a lawn. It is basically a bunch of 1 page tips and suggestions on what the author thinks a man should know. I like a lot of them, and think that it's well worth a buy.

I'm ashamed to say it, but...
...I often find this book really useful, even though it is meant to be humorous. It is actually pretty funny, with some great illustrations, but if I think about it, the stuff like shaving properly, DIY etc has actually changed the way I do things for the better. Hemce writing this review. Oh, and the CPR/heimlich tips are serious stuff, worth absorbing. More than just a joke book.

How to Mow the Lawn By Sam Martin
A truly excellent reference book for any bloke. Lots of handy hints for everyone from lads to grandads. This book is on the top of my list for when friends get married, buy a new house etc.

Very well written as it appeals to men while not offending ladies. I leave my copy on the bedside table for my guests to read and the only comment I get is "Where did you get this book?"
