THOSE were the days!?
This book takes us back to the classroom a hundred years ago, with period photos of schoolchildren and teachers, artefacts , as well as line drawings.
The chapter on a typical school "day" is of interest.
There are no colour pictures, apart from the front cover, but for the price is a good introduction to the subject, and a good list of further reading and places to visit.
