If your a new student to child branch, this is for you....5
Trying to find one book that covers a broad spectrum of needs for a student is near impossible, until now. The Textbook of Children's Nursing is ideal for those who have just begun nursing children and are starting their commom foundation course. It covers a wide range of concepts from child health through to legal and ethical issues.

Giving the reader a firm baseline on which you can develop study, covering all the topics that you may come across in your first year. The language that is used is easily understood, even for novice, and the structure is clear; making finding the information easy and logical.

The authors have also included tables and diagrams to make understanding of complex ideas easier. They have given notes in the margins for definitions and further reading, giving you the opportunity to locate more information on a particular subject. Each chapter contains activities that can be completed as you read each section. Giving time to consider what you have read, and relate the ideas into practice.

This book will not answer every question you may have in relation to the nursing of children, though I did find it answered many. It gave me as a new student to nursing somewhere to start, giving direction as to where to go, and understanding of what can sometimes be complicated issues.
